This fish is rarely seen in circulation within the hobby and commands a high price because of its beautiful colors and difficulty to obtain. AKA:Anampses lennardi. Endemic to Western Australia. Known from the Exmouth region and Dampier Archipelago. Occurs on shallow reefs with mixed coralline algae and rubble substrate. Juveniles appear black with yellow over the back, but have thin white lines.
